Advancing Medical Knowledge

The Ohio State University Department of Family Medicine supports the College of Medicine's efforts to provide quality CME to physicians and other healthcare professionals through The Center for Continuing Medical Education.

Principal CME offerings include the following:

  • Live Webcasts – The CCME Live Webcast is an internet-based CME interactive lecture incorporating streaming video and multimedia presentations with real time viewer participation by way of e-mails and telephone calls.
  • Online, On-Demand CME – This is a perfect solution for physicians who need flexibility Online, On-Demand CME is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The previous weeks Live Webcast program is available by the following Monday for Online, On-Demand CME.
  • Conferences – Quality one and two-day conferences are available year round on topics such as cardiology, diabetes, and neurology. Conferences may be on-site at the OSU Medical Center or in a local hotel. CCME also sponsors international conferences.
  • Grand Rounds – Approximately 30 departments in the OSU Medical Center offer weekly Grand Rounds that provide Category 1 credit for continuing medical education.
